Pork Loins
Not sure how my bf does it, but his meats are delicious and always juicy, not dried out. These pork loins were brined overnight and then cooked and lightly browned in a frying pan. Brown rice with furikake and green peas for veggies. Nom nom nom.... sooooo delicious!

These were definitely mouthwatering and my #1 FAV!
You just can't go wrong with pasta and costco meatballs. The meatballs are so flavorful and juicy!
And bacon, applewood smoked bacon. Heated to a hot tantalizing crisp.
Tonight's dinner was definitely "da bomb"! :D

Leftovers
Today, we ate leftovers. However, all of these leftovers are from restaurants, except for the rice. heh. Starting from the top left, we had chicken pot pie from Grand Lux Cafe, and on the right side we have a mix of pork, chicken and duck from Sam Woo and then home cooked rice on the bottom. These were pretty tasty leftovers!

Waffles n Nutella

DIY Hamburger Helper
Whenever I think of the hamburger helper commercials, the food I always think of is their cheesy macaroni just add ground beef meal. Tonight I decided to do a version of that take. Here I cooked ground turkey with some costco meatballs.
In another pot, I cooked some pasta to al dente. Then I added a couple slices of american cheese and lots of mozzarella cheese. I would've added cheddar only our cheddar was frozen and mozzarella was not.
My dish came out looking AND tasting pretty deliciously awesome! The turkey makes this dish not too unhealthy (maybe). The costco meatball makes it very savory and yummy. The only thing I added was chopped carrots to give it a bit of color and a wee bit of veggies. Add pepper to taste.

Jennie-o's Italian Sausages
Bf makes the BEST sausages ever! How? He cooks'em in light beer such as hite and coors. The sausages turn out very juicy and VERY tantalizing in your mouth. You just can't beat'em! I always finish my sausages first whenever my bf makes'em. (For a pack of 5 sausages, cook'em with maybe half the can of beer).

Dry Rub Drumsticks
Bf put a dry rub on these drumsticks and left it in the fridge overnight to sort of let it set into the meat. The dry rub was made with brown sugar, kosher salt, smoked paprika, black pepper, cumin powder, garlic powder, and a bit of dried parsley. (In my opinion, brined chicken is the best option. These drumsticks just weren't as juicy as the previous ones).
I finally got my butt off the couch and actually made veggies. I love cooked cabbage with shitake mushrooms! (Add salt n pepper to taste). Yummmmmmmmm.
This is the end result. Endless savory deliciousness in my tumtum.

Sandwiches from Leftovers
One of my favorite things to do with leftovers is to make sandwiches out of them. Here, my bf was finishing up the bbq chicken quickie leftovers, then placing lettuce, mustard and a slice of cheese between bread. It was gooooooooooooooooooddd!
For my sandwich, we had leftover frozen white fish which I had made and froze maybe two weeks ago. After reheating it up via microwave and then toaster, I placed it on a bread with mayo and relish on one side, topped with lettuce and cheese between bread. I looooooooooovvved it!!!

Oatmeal
I never really post up any breakfast pictures because I usually only eat two things for breakfast: Milk n cereal during the warm and hot days and oatmeal during the chilly and cold days. Since it's January in Cali, it's pretty cold, hence the oatmeal. I never eat my oatmeal plain. Today, I added a mix of dried fruits such as cranberries and various raisins and a dash of cinnamon. Yummy in my tummy for a great start to a boring work day!

BBQ Chicken Quickie
Marinate chicken in BBQ sauce like the one below for maybe an hour beforehand before cooking it.
End result: we added olives to our chicken because we were already munching on them... The whole dinner was quite delicious!

Onion Soup
There are lots of variations of the onion soup, but the way we make it is the simplest version that I learned from my mom. We chopped up 4-5 big brown onions and then cook/saute until brown.
The browner the better. I was losing my patience and this was as brown as I got them. (I did them in two batches). Then I placed the onions in a big pot of water with a can of chicken broth (it should really be beef broth, but in my opinion, either works). I boiled and then simmered for 4-5 hours til the onions were melt-in-your-mouth soft.
Ladle in soup bowl, top with bread and cheese. Normally, we use sliced french bread and shredded mozzarella, but we didn't have any on hand, so I just used regular sliced wheat bread and cheddar cheese. Still quite delicious in my tum-tum :)
