KBBQ at home!

Instead of hot pot day, we tried to do our own makeshift homemade korean bbq via cast iron over portable gas station. For side dishes, we have spicy daikon and spicy cucumber (store bought), sliced mushrooms, baby squids (the white stuff on the plate), chopped lettuce for salad but without the amazing sauce that usually accompanies it at restaurants and lots o sliced meats. Mmm-mmmmm.

BBQ Salmon

Boyfriend made his bbq salmon by rubbing is secret bbq rub on it, then placed it in a well-Pammed casserole. Then he poured white wine and a bit of apple cider vinegar until it covered only 1/3 of the fillet in height. Place in oven at about 475 degrees F and bake for about 15-17 minutes.

It was another delicious salmon meal. Om nom nom nom. :D

Saturday BBQ

Boyfriend LOVES grilling! It's his natural habitat, I swear! So for our small BBQ on Saturday, we cooked up a foodie storm!

Gotta have your salad with Romaine, iceberg, and carrots (can't have water in your salad and since we had no salad spinner, each leaves were delicately wiped down with a paper towel)

Sweet white corn and marinated asparagus and squash.
Mashed potatoes

hawaiian musubi - from a cool aunt

fruit platter - the cool aunt MADE this... i thought she bought it from costco, but no, she did the arrangements herself!... purty awesome!

Chips n Salsa (actually from Costco) - still pretty delish too! -  Cool friends brought these over

strawberry boston creme pie.
                                                                                   bf couldn't resist buying this

baked apple pie
another cool friend brought this over WITH ice cream
