Homemade Pumpkin Pies!

God I love pies, especially the homemade ones! To take something grown from earth such as this cute lil pie pumpkin and make it into something soooooooo deliscious, I LOVE IT!!!

Rinse your pumpkin, cut in half or more pieces if necessary, remove seeds and stringy stuff, then either bake til soft or place in microvable dish with a bit of water in it and microwave for 15 minutes on high.

This is pumpkin puree. (What a beautiful fall colour!)

Making the pie crust from scratch as well. It's so easy. Follow this recipe.

 Looks store bought, yes?

This looks like crap, but it includes the pumpkin puree and all the other spices and milk and eggs and stuff. Good stuff!

TA-DA! The end result is two of these scrumptious tasting, savory smelling yumm-i-licious treat!

The recipe for this bad baby can be found here.

Update: By Friday, 10/28, we've already ate one and two-thirds of the pies for 3 persons. So sad....

Making this is as easy as one two three:
To fill up a glassware nicely, add 1 1/2 bananas, 1/3 c milk and about 4-5 ice cubes. Blend it!
It's super healthy and super yummy!

Sandwiches and a Baked Potato

These sandwiches were taken from an event I had organized earlier for work. They were pretty basic and delicious, only because this family hasn't bought processed meat in ages! Plus baked potatoes equal yumminess

Fish n Fries

Sad to say, this came from a box. Also, a word of advice, frozen foods are never as good as fresh foods. That being said, we drank beer to pretend this was another super duper yummy food!

This beer was actually pretty good. This coming from a person who hardly drinks cuz the taste is just awful... dunno how you normal people do it.

Zucchini Bread

Try #1

The zucchini bread was not bad in taste but a bit dry in texture. It's probably because I didn't use enough butter as i didn't have enough... :( Should've subbed with oil but didn't think of it til afterwards...
I used this recipe because it was the only one where the sugar and zucchini were NOT a 1:1 ratio. In this case, there's more zucchini than sugar. I believe if you follow it exactly, it would yield a yummy delicious bread. I will try again the next time I get more zucchinis.

Apples n Peanut Butter

Apples and peanut butter make a delicious combo. Apples itself can be rather too sweet by the time you get to the end but with peanut butter, you can't stop at one apple. You need more!
