Pickled daikon and carrots

Chop up one part carrots, one part daikon into thin strips. Cover with water. Add 2 tbs white sugar, 3 tbs salt and 3 tbs vinegar. Taste till desired flavor and add ingredients as needed. Let sit for at least 1 hour or until you can bend the strips of daikon/carrot in half without breaking. Refrigerate.  

Then eat your heart out!
MMMMM - so deliciously sweet and sour and savory all at the same time! It's the best side dish one could ask for!
